I'm going to start sharing random tips each week on Saturday. These tips could be about knitting, crocheting, parenting/children/babies, or anything else that I might think up. If you have a random tip to share, please feel free to email me so it can be featured.
This week's tip is about knitting cables. When you are going from a cabled section to a non-cabled section, for example going from the main part of a garment to the ribbing at the bottom, you should decrease every few stitches along the cabled portion along the transition row. If you don't, the next section won't lie nicely and there will be extra fabric in the location where the cable was.
